Toner Cartridge
Recycling Program

In 1990, Canon became one of the first companies to collect and recycle used copier toner cartridges. With the cooperation of our customers, Canon has collected more than 287,000 tons around the world.

Returned cartridges are sorted and put through the recycling and energy recovery process, producing plastics, metals and reconditioned parts that can be used in the manufacture of new cartridges and other products.

Canon appreciates customers who participate in this program. To participate in Canon's copier toner cartridge return program, please note that:

  • Customers are not entitled to tax deductions or rebates for returned cartridges.
  • This program may be modified or discontinued without notice.
  • Canon only authorizes the use of this site to print labels or order boxes/labels to return Canon brand cartridges. Any unauthorized use may result in the return to sender at sender's expense.
